Learn about the history of one of the oldest crafts, the leathercraft of Uglich, the production of leather in Russia, the history of the legendary Russian calf leather. Visit an exhibition of antiques and see reconstructed ancient pieces, take a look at original models of leather making equipment of the 17-19th century. Learn about contemporary art: leather carving, embossing, sculptures. At the end of the tour, each of the visitors will be able to briefly become an artisan and create a magnet, take pics with the exhibits, or read his/her fortune on runes. Visit the Alexey Monastery. The first exposition is dedicated to the Ushakovs family lineage, Fyodor’s childhood, his training at the Russian Marine Cadet Corps, his first combat experience, battles (none of which was lost), last years of his life. The exposition Memory and canonization is an overview of the landmarks and memorials dedicated to Admiral Ushakov, ships named in his honour, his military decorations.
