Down the roads of Medieval Ladoga Walking Tour includes the fortress and a display at the Gate Tower. Nikolsky Monastery is located on the Volga Embankment. Tourists are invited to the functioning John Chrysostom Cathedral where they can see the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
Uspensky Convent. Known as the place of exile of the first wife of Peter I, Evdokiya Lopukhina. Stop at the Elevation of the Life-Creating Cross Cathedral housing the relics of the great martyr Varvara.

By order of Ivan the Terrible two monasteries were founded: Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery and the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Convent. Tour of the Monastery. Stop at the Dormition Cathedral where miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of God is presented. Distance is about 100 km. Travel time is 1 hour and 40 minutes (one way). Tour length – 5,5-6 hours.

In the Vasilyevo village, you will see the largest and most beautiful wooden house of the island, richly decorated with carvings, the Mother of God Assumption chapel, and climb the Naryina Mount - the highest point of the island. In the village of Yamka you will explore one of the 19th century houses and learn about the peasant life of the past, as well as the experiences of the Zaonezhie villagers today.
