Tchaikovsky

Founded in 1955 as a settlement for the builders of Votkinsk hydroelectric power station on the Kama River. A modern, green and cozy town, surrounded by the waters of the Kama and Votkinsk reservoir. There is a beautiful pine forest park and a beach by the pier. The small Udmurt town Votkinsk, birthplace of the great composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky, is located 37 kilometers from Tchaikovsky on the shores of an artificial pond. The excursion to Tchaikovsky’s memorial house is worth a trip.
