Lodeynoe Pole
Centuries-old pine tree forests on the banks of the Svir attracted the attention of Tsar Peter I, who decided to organize a shipyard here for the construction of the young Russian fleet. Standart , the first frigate for the Baltic Fleet, came out of the stocks of the Olonetsky (the former name of the settlement) shipyard, in 1703. If provided by the cruise program, bus tours can be organized from here to Alexander-Svirsky and Vvedeno-Oyat monasteries.
